Dear Parents, Hopefully you are aware that the HW this week involves Norwegian, another book review and story writing on Reading Eggs (using Story Factory). We have been encouraging the students to work more independently on English reading and writing and to take responsibility for handing their homework in on time.  This is all in the name of "student agency"  (making good choices, following their own interests) HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to EMMA   who won the story writing contest last week in Story Factory. EXCELLENT JOB EMMA!  We are very proud of you :)

Fantastic Team Work Grade 3! Today we raised an incredible  3980 NOK  for our new fish tank.  BRAVO! Thank you parents for sending  in the baked goods and treats. We could not have done it  without you :)

            Dear Grade 3 Families, Happy Spring!  This week one thing we talked about  in the grade 3 class is the science   explanation  for  "Spring Equinox". If you are curious, please ask your  son/daughter about it!  Hopefully they cab retell it as a scientist would!                April is Reading Homework Month!     As part of our weekly homework this next month, students are asked to read  at least one book or story from their  Reading   Eggs Library.   Then they will write a short Book Review in their  green  journal . If they are wanting to read more, go for it!  * Please note, we are trying to open access to 20-25 books in the student library. Homework February 14   Ancient Egypt Research  Students have each chosen one topic  to research at home:    A Famous Egyptian Pyramid  or  A Famous Ancient Egyptian They will prepare a colourful poster to retell 10 (or more) interesting facts.  Please see the outlines that the students  brought home with them.
