Happy Spring and homework this week

          

 Dear Grade 3 Families,

Happy Spring! 

This week one thing we talked about 
in the grade 3 class is the science 
 explanation for  "Spring Equinox".
If you are curious, please ask your 
son/daughter about it! Hopefully they cab retell it
as a scientist would!

             April is Reading Homework Month!

    As part of our weekly homework this next month, students are asked to read 
at least one book or story from their 
Reading Eggs Library. Then they will write a short Book Review in their green journal.
If they are wanting to read more, go for it! 

 * Please note, we are trying to open access to 20-25 books
in the student library. We should have it working ASAP



New unit of inquiry starting next week:

Cities are created in response to human needs

*How cities evolve over time to adapt to human requirements
*How human beings are driven to live in communities
*City systems designed to meet human needs

Homework November 28 Metric Measures  Students have a booklet of activities  designed to help them make accurate measures using cm and mm. A ruler is necessary!  Cool Buildings  To inspire and encourage inquiry,  this week we ask students to find  pictures of interesting and unique  buildings  on the  internet.  Goal:  Try to find 10 in different countries!    Print and paste them into your booklet.
